Never store cans directly on metal shelves. The metals can react and corrode the cans cutting their shelf life in half. Its best to keep cans away from metal but, if metal shelves are your only choice, put something between the cans and the metal. Also remember to store your cans where they will not freeze or get hot, a cool, dark place is best.
I cant stand a sink full of dishes or dishes left all over the counter. It looks so messy. One simple way to make clearing clutter a breeze in the kitchen is to keep the counters and sink free of dishes. Of course this sounds easy, but is it easy to do? After using a dish, load it in the dishwasher instead of putting it in the sink. By keeping the dishwasher unloaded so everyone can load their own plates keeps clearing clutter to a minimum.
Do you tend to feel that the bathroom is purely functional, or is it, by itself, perhaps the most important room in the house? Many people feel that the bathroom is a sanctuary, a place to reinvigorate and rejuvenate and face the world once more. If it truly is an area that provides you with an ability to recharge and find peace in a troubled world, then maybe you should devote a more significant part of your overall budget to bathroom redesign.
* Choose cabinets that are durable as you will be putting in many items that can add to the strain on the cabinets. This is one of the reasons why people are choosing good woods that will hold up when storing items such as cookware, glass and china. Those that are durable are made to hold up the items that you store in your kitchen.
